Re-Nyjah Hillmon and Janiya Tabor received their RealCare Baby Achievement Certificates today. These girls took the real care babies home overnight and returned them the next morning to Mrs. Webster. The babies were set on “hard” mode and a report of the attention to care is sent to Mrs. Webster once the babies are returned. These girls had a 98% accuracy of correct care for a newborn! When asked how the experience was, Janiya Tabor stated,”I could not wait to take a nap and return this baby to Mrs. Webster. I thought it was going to be fun, but it was actually a lot of work and sacrifice of sleep. Everything we learned about newborns was true. They are hard work and you don’t realize the care they need until you have one.”
These babies randomly cry just as a newborn would. Students have to determine why the babies are crying and attend to that need. Sensors are imbedded on the baby that record the length of crying periods, and their body temperature. It also records how long they were left in the car seat.

CTAE students created goodie bags in which all items were made by CTAE students. CTSO members delivered these goodie bags on February 23 during 1st block. Students enjoyed passing them out, and it helped each staff member start their day off right. These activities also helped to celebrate CTAE month, create awareness of our CTAE Pathways and CTSOs, and to show our appreciation to ALL TCHS Staff and Administrative Office Staff. #CTAEDelivers #BTTY #4theT
