🎉 Our Embedded Computing students are diving into their capstone projects, showcasing incredible creativity and problem-solving! Each student takes their project from idea to concept to creation entirely on their own.
Meet Jerry 👀✨—a brilliant creation by one of our students! Jerry has a paper cup body, a cardboard head, and motion-sensing "eyes" that activate his glowing LED "nose" when motion is detected. All of this is powered by custom code written by the student, with the components cleverly hidden inside the paper cup.
Projects like Jerry highlight the amazing skills our students are developing in programming, electronics, and design. We can't wait to see what they create next! 🚀 #STEM #EmbeddedComputing #FutureInnovators #4theT #LetsGrowTogether

Student Council is collecting items for our annual Toys for Tots drive. We would love your help. If you would like to donate, please bring a new, unwrapped toy and drop it off in one of the bins located on campus: the media center, the commons, or the front office. The deadline is next Friday, December 12.
These gifts are distributed to families in need in our community. Every gift, big and small, is sure to light up the face of a kid this Christmas.
Thank you in advance!
📽️ Exciting News from Tift County High School! 🎉
Today, we had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with Georgia Public Broadcasting and the Georgia Department of Education for their Computer Science in Action series! Our classroom was selected as one of two high schools in Georgia to be featured, showcasing the amazing work happening in computer science education.
The filming highlighted an engaging lesson in our Introduction to Software Technology course and included tips and strategies for teachers across the state to implement similar activities in their classrooms.
The final video is expected to be ready in April, and we can’t wait to share it with everyone! A huge thank you to our students for their enthusiasm, our administrators for their support, and the GPB and GADOE teams for this fantastic opportunity.
Stay tuned for updates as we get closer to the release date! 🖥️✨

Students learned about celebrations and holidays such as weddings, the Day of the Dead, Quinceañera, the Mexican Independence Day, and Christmas. The projects tell the story of how Spanish-speaking countries celebrate, the significance of the celebration, and what people do at these celebrations/ holidays. #4theT #LetsGrowTogether
Students in Mr. McDearmid's first block explored electrical circuits. They were tasked with building and developing multiple series and parallel circuits to activate the light bulbs. The exploration phase of the lab allowed the students to interact with the varying parts of the circuits and understand how electricity works. They also worked with electrical circuit boards to design and understand circuits. #4theT #LetsGrowTogether

Before the Thanksgiving Break, Tift County High CTI participated in the Fall Leadership Conference in Columbus, GA. This event provided our CTI student leaders with a valuable opportunity to establish new relationships and develop essential employability skill for the future.
The conference featured a range of activities, including a Transition Fair, a Marriott Business and Industry Tour, an Academic Quiz Bowl Competition, an Inspiring Opening Session, a Networking Social and Dance, and Work Readiness Leadership Sessions.
Our students thoroughly enjoyed the experience, gaining significant insight and skills that will benefit them in the years to come. We appreciate this opportunity to support the development of our young leaders. @Georgia CTI @Tift County Schools CTAE #4theT #CTAEdelivers #findyourpath #LetsGrowTogether
